Toronto, Ontario – EverCharge recently published a report, based on findings by VISAQ/Coleman, reveals that 53 percent of electric vehicle users across North America report being unable to use charging stations.

The study also suggests that North American drivers are in agreement that EV charging infrastructure reliability still needs improvement across the industry.

The report, conducted over November and December 2024, gathered data from 500 North American respondents that had previously deployed Level 2 commercial EV chargers.

Key highlights from the study further indicate that for respondents, electrification makes economic sense in a way that goes beyond sustainability. Of all charger providers, respondents also ranked EverCharge as number one in network connectivity and satisfaction.

Finally, the study highlights that across North American EV charging networks, 48 percent of respondents reported having their charging session abruptly stopped. 47 percent of respondents also recorded that the charging data at their station was either lost or inaccessible.

“The findings of this report by VISASQ/Coleman are crucial to better understanding what is most important to customers, and what is needed from their EV charging solution provider,” said Taeho Kang, CEO of EverCharge.
