Toronto, Ontario – According to online reports, Tesla has now introduced a battery test feature in its latest software update, 2025.8.3, which is intended to measure battery health and energy retention.

As originally noted by Drive Tesla Canada, where before, vehicle owners would have had to have the automaker run a diagnostic test, with this latest update, this data can now be accessed by the user from their vehicle’s main interface.

Notably, to engage with the new feature, users can find the update under the settings section in the category titled “battery health.”

Additionally, as noted by owners who have already tested the interface, in order to use the new feature, vehicles must remain connected to an AC charger for up to 16 hours to successfully complete a full diagnostic test.

Finally, along with the battery health test, Tesla has reportedly also introduced energy use intervals in its Energy app, with the battery’s energy estimate feature capable of adjusting over time based on a vehicle’s usage characteristics.
