Toronto, Ontario – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced that Tesla’s Cybertruck has received a 5-star Overall Safety Rating.

According to the organization, the rating applies to both the 2024 and 2025 Cybertruck models, in which both variations excelled in all categories.

Notably, when simulating head-on-collisions at 70 km/h, the Cybertruck achieved a 5-star rating for the driver and a 4-star rating for the front passenger.

In the side crash tests, the Cybertruck secured a 5-star rating, and finally, in testing rollover risks, the Cybertruck revealed a risk of just 12.40 percent, earning a 5-star rating.

This overall rating comes despite initial concerns from critics, who, as noted by Drive Tesla Canada, expressed concerns that the vehicle’s stainless steel exoskeleton and sharp edges would pose increased risk to pedestrians in collisions.
