Ottawa, Ontario – Nissan Canada and Hyundai Auto Canada, among other automakers, have announced that despite the Canadian government’s cancellation of the federal iZEV program, the automakers will continue to provide an equivalent rebate on eligible vehicles.

Specifically, as noted in recent online statements, Nissan announced that it will provide electric vehicle incentive funding for its all-electric Ariya. Comparatively, Hyundai will make incentive efforts on all eligible vehicles.

Other automakers that have announced dedication to maintaining EV incentives despite the government’s cancellation of the iZEV program include Ford, which will offer a $5,000 rebate for its electric models, and General Motors which will offer a similar incentive through the end of this month.
