Tokyo, Japan -- Sharp has unveiled the second iteration of its electric vehicle (EV) concept model, LDK+, positioning it as an “extension of the living room.” Under the new key message Part of your home, the model will debut at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, one of Japan’s largest mobility events, held at Tokyo Big Sight from October 30 to November 9, 2025.
Building on the first LDK+ concept introduced in September 2024, the new model integrates Sharp’s proprietary AI technology CE-LLM, along with AIoT and sensing technologies, to explore a future where vehicles are more than a mode of transportation—they are mobile living environments.
Developed in collaboration with Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) and based on the company’s Model A EV platform, the second-generation LDK+ retains a compact form while offering a spacious, comfortable interior.
When parked, the vehicle transforms into a mobile living space—functioning as a theatre room or remote workspace. A console box equipped with a table and projector sits between the driver and passenger seats. By swivelling the driver’s seat to face the rear, the cabin takes on a lounge-like atmosphere. A screen above the rear seats can be pulled down for movie viewing or online meetings.
Through Sharp’s AIoT platform, which links AI with home appliances, the vehicle can connect to household systems such as kitchen devices, air conditioning and laundry equipment. The AI adapts to residents’ routines and preferences, enabling a personalized experience that bridges home and mobility.
In addition, the LDK+ supports V2H (Vehicle to Home) energy management, allowing seamless integration with solar power generation and residential storage batteries for efficient, sustainable energy use.
